The Gymnasium-Lyceum was constructed between 1925 and 1928. The exterior was decorated by engineer Michalis Michailidis’s designs. The Pallimnia School Fund and Egyptian expatriates helped fund the construction. Due to seismic damage, the roof was reconstructed with wooden planks in 1981.
